Yoga:Part-2
Our life in this modern world is very tense. We are moving like machines, and in a certain extent, the machines even control us. It is quiet natural that we go through a lot of tension, back pain, body pain, pain in the joints, headache, hypertension, arthritis, asthma, cough, insomnia, stress and anger, depression, frustration, obesity, uncontrolled sexual behaviors, cardiovascular diseases, etc. Every day we hear about these types of diseases and discomforts. There may be a lot of cure and comfort if we practice suitable Yoga Asanas aiming at certain diseases.
By practicing Yoga we can control our body and mind. The practice of Hatha Yoga can help us to recognize our hidden physical and mental potentials. Through the continued performance of Asanas, we will gain flexibility and strength, and learn to be more relaxed under other wise stressful situations.
Hatha Yoga's Relaxation Exercises will open the energy channels, which in turn allows spiritual energy to flow freely. Some Hatha Yoga poses also massage and tone our internal organs, helping to prevent diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, and hypertension. They also bring balance to internal and glandular functions. Pranayama, on the other hand can help to manage asthma, and bronchitis.
Hatha Yoga can also help us to cope with stress, relieve tension, and deal with anxiety and depression. It also help us to put our mind in a focused state to prepare for meditation and eventually, the search for enlightment.
Will continue in Part - III
