The Panama Canal:
It is interesting to know that The Panama Canal is 48-mile long(77KM) man made Canal links
Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Ships save about 8,000 miles (12,875 km) by using the Canal instead of traveling around the Southern tip of South America.
