"More Solar Energy Under Your Control:"
"Ten years from now, power generation will be much more widely distributed.Home and businesses alike will install solar-energy conversion systems for most-if not all-of their electrical needs.Centralized power from electrical generating plants will still be needed, but in the future they will largely be a back up for distributed electrical generating systems rather than the sole provider of electricity. Moreover, these traditional power plants will predominantly rely on solar energy rather than coal, gas and oil.
Even our clothing will offer non-grid power opportunities for solar energy, thanks to breakthroughs in nanotechnology. By integrating solar collection material into fabrics, we'll have shirts and sweaters that can power our iPods or cell phones, and window drapes that help power our homes and offices.
The rise of new solar technologies will bring the power of sunshine in a host of new ways, ultimatley giving you the means to become the manager of your own solar-powered life style. You'll hold the sun and its power in your hands."
