Easter and Eternity - Thomas Philip

Easter and Eternity

Every year Christians celebrate Easter with abundant Joy. The Death of Jesus is very famous in the history of  the World. The greatest Easter truth is that whoever lives and believes in Jesus shall never die, or in other words, We will live again even after death. Death is not the end of human life. Christians have the hope of a wonderful future through the wonderful resurrection of Jesus. The greatest thinker Goeth said “Life is the childhood of our immortality.”

Violence, war, massacres, and natural calamities are making news headlines in just about every corner of the earth. Now our world is becoming cruel, loveless and a dangerous place. There is no certainty or guarantee for human life on earth. In James 4:14 we read “For what is your life? It is a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

We were born for a special purpose on this earth. God is giving us a choice to follow Him or the Devil. So the most important question in life is; are you saved? Do you have the spiritual assurance that you will go to eternity after death? If not, let me say that there is no meaning in celebrating Good Friday and Easter.

According to the Bible, no one can attain eternal life or go to heaven without being saved. We must realize that we are all sinners. “No one is righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). For the wages of sin is death, Christ died for our sins. In God’s Plan by His death on the cross Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins. With his stripes we are healed. Thus “Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7). We are redeemed by Jesus’ blood. No other god died for man’s sin. It is the amazing Grace of God. It is the supreme Love! Dr.K.M. George wrote that “The Cross of Jesus Christ is the classic instance of love which resists and overcome the evils.”

The unique love of Jesus is so sweet. He was humble, kind, and compassionate. He showed people how they should live. He said “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” It is his greatest commandment.

Let me conclude by asking "Where are you going?" How long will we live here? The living are aware that they will die. Nobody knows his or her future. Many people don’t know where they are heading. Jesus died for our sins and risen from the dead. Thus God has opened the way to everlasting life for us. This is the story of Jesus’ Crucifixion and Resurrection. He is coming again to receive his devotees. This is our unshakeable faith! This is our greatest hope! Yes His second coming is imminent now. Hear the divine voice “Where are you going to spend eternity?”
Heaven or Hell?

The meaning, the value,
The truth of life
The time of life is short;
To spent that shortness
Basely,‘t were too long.
-Shakespeare

Wish you all beloved New World Family Members and readers a very Happy Easter!
