BE GENEROUS: REFLECTION BY JANE PIMENTA
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Cor. 9:6-8
Whoever sows sparingly……….Whoever sows generously………Our willingness to co-operate with God’s plan for us, (which very often clashes with our plan for ourselves), is a form of sowing generously. There is an appropriate return for each!!
Let us take an honest look at what is going on in our life just now. In that situation are we open to put our plans and way of thinking aside and accept what the Lord has in mind for us? Painful no doubt, increases insecurity about the future too, but God’s Word promises “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” The returns are high! What will our decision be?
