HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS
As at Meribah, the waters turned bitter
Disobedient at heart and vexed hunger
Selfishness arise, anxious -- O' thirsty!
Moses annoyed, struck rock but twice.
"What do I do with these vain people?"
Complained in the morning and night!
Not satisfied with the manna, quails
Their voices deafen me of whingeing...
If you hear His voice, harden not...what?
Your hearts... for it offends the Lord---
As world is at our feet, we need no more!
The light of the sun, the air we breathe---
The beauty of the ocean, birds of the air
O' the joy that we feel, friends we rejoice
Love that I feel, the peace that unites
Hope in the midst; welcome you give!
If you hear His voice, run and not walk!
For the Almighty has spoken: to our God
Stand in awe, obey without any qualms
By your hearts with warmth as a balm!
