DIVINE MERCY, OUR HOPE/ CYNTHIA ABEGAIL'S COLUMN

DIVINE MERCY, OUR HOPE
(POEM)
At the garden, an evening breeze fills the air
The Lord God walked in the garden, but then...
Adam and Eve hurriedly hid among the trees
God asked "Where are you?" as they freeze!
Adam answered, "I heard the sound of You,
In the garden but I was naked, I hid am blue"
And God said, "Who told you that you were---
Naked and have you eaten from the tree?
Of which I commanded you not to eat---
That woman gave me the fruit and I ate!
The woman said, "The serpent tricked me---
And I ate and that is the story of the Fall,
The first sin which has the consequences---
As Lord God said to the serpent, "Cursed are
Among wild creatures and I will put enmity
Between you and the woman, he will strike
Your head and you will strike his heel."
This is just the beginning of man's struggles,
Lord God said, "By the sweat of your face, you
shall eat bread until you return to the ground
You are dust and to dust you shall return!"
Praise God that He sent His only Son Jesus,
By His precious Blood, O' that's good news!
It is only through grace that we are justified
Thanks to divine mercy, our hope as He died!
Without mercy, it will be darkness and despair,
Without love, the desert is barren, joy is rare!
Without faith, impossible to please our Lord,
As wisdom is given, to the unified with Cord!
Without hope, the abyss is always almost ready,
Without charity, Sheol possible to engulf thee
Without the truth, the gates are wide open---
Do you prefer the narrow gate for all eternity?
I love you Lord from the recesses of my heart,
I believe you Lord, I take your Word to the dart!
Sometimes, I miss the mark--- nay but thanks,
I'll come back, Your arms are open even at dark!
