REFLECTIONS
You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: “As surely as I live,' says the Lord, “every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' " So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. Romans 14:10-13
Let us guard against every word we speak today. Judging and criticizing come very easily to all of us, but such words are never given to us from the Lord, they are from the evil one. Judging and criticizing are like two deadly swords which we use to cut others down, Jesus came to heal and restore who are we to cut, divide and destroy? From today, let us look at everyone with the eyes of Jesus, the eyes of love and speak to them and about them, in the spirit of love. Not easy, not easy at all! Let us pray and ask Jesus to give us His Spirit to do this, for He promises us “With Me you can do all things.”
