How did the Apostles die?

Peter --- was crucified upside down on an x-
shaped cross. According to church tradition,
he felt unworthy to die in the same way that
Jesus had died.
Matthew --- killed by a sword wound in Ethiopia.
Mark --- died in Alexandria, Egypt after being dragged
Luke --- was hanged in Greece as a result of his
tremendous preaching to the lost.
John --- was boiled in a huge basin of boiling oil
in Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered from
death. He was sentenced to mines in the island of
Patmos where he wrote the prophetic book of revelation.
He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully.
James the just --- as the leader of the church in Jerusalem,
he was thrown over a hundred of feet down from the south
east pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny faith in
Jesus. Surviving the fall, they beat him with a fuller's club
James the great --- son of Zebedee, he was ultimately beheaded
Bartholomeuw --- was martyred for his preaching in Armenia
where he was flayed to death by a whip.
Andrew ---- was crucified in an x-shaped cross; was overheard
"I have long desired and expected this happy hour."
Thomas --- was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his
Jude --- was killed with arrows.
Matthias --- was stoned and beheaded.

the intense persecution suffered by the apostles for the sake of their faith.
