Meat Loaf
2 medium, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 small carrot, chopped (3/4 cup)
1 small chayote, chopped
¼ cup cooked green peas
1 small red bell pepper, chopped
1 can (237 g) spaghetti sauce, Italian tyle
400 g ground pork, chicken or beef
5 pcs cheese, shredded
2 eggs beaten
1-1/2 tsp iodized salt (or 1-1/2 tbsp rock salt)
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp sugar
Combine everything, then mix thoroughly.
Pack firmly in 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan.
Cover with wax paper and steam for 1 hour or bake uncovered in turbo broiler at 300o for 30 min.
Increase temperature to 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
