RAMBLINGS OF A GRANDMOTHER (CONCLUSION) BY JANE PIMENTAWe too should be like children – forget about the hurts people have inflicted on us, and be ready to forgive and love. Hold out our arms to love and embrace everyone no matter how much they have hurt us, no matter how much inconvenience they bring into our lives, we must be ready to forgive. This is not at all easy, its very difficult, but that is not an excuse for us to hold on to hurt feelings and not forgive.
Forgiveness does not come easily, there are people who hurt us for different reasons, and I know very well how difficult it is to forgive. There are times when we push the hurt down in our hearts and then think we have forgiven but somewhere along the line, something will happen and trigger off that hurt feeling again and all those hurtful memories come back…I think the only way out of this web is to pray and say to the Lord, “Lord I desire to forgive but I cannot, teach me, strengthen me, and help me to obey your Word asking me to forgive” and in time, it will become possible to forgive.
“Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of God.”
