RAMBLINGS OF A GRANDMOTHER: PART 1-- STORY FORWARDED BY JANE PIMENTA

RAMBLINGS OF A GRANDMOTHER by Jane Pimenta
“Then little children were being brought to Him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs” Matthew 19:13-14

In spite of His busy day, in spite of His tiredness, in spite of so many difficult people and situation that He may have had to encounter during the day, Jesus always had time for “little children” He said that unless we became child like, entering into the kingdom of heaven would be difficult.

A few years ago, the Lord blessed us with a lovely granddaughter. She is the first of the four grandchildren we have. Her name is Sarah and when she came into our lives, she filled our cup of joy to overflowing. When Sarah was three months old, her mother had to get back to work, and so her parents decided to leave her with me, with their maid. It was my great pleasure to look after her, feed her, bath her, and do the little things for children that grandparents do..

After a few weeks of taking care of Sarah, I was in complete awe to notice, how trusting she was (like all babies are). And in the weeks that followed although she was only a little over three months, and could not say one word, she became my great spiritual teacher.

When she was hungry she cried and I fed her. She had no control over what I put into her mouth, and no way of know whether it was good for her or not, she trustingly opened her mouth and received what I put in! This made me think…

(Thanks Jane. We look forward for Part 11 and Part 111 of this story.  Very Good!). New World
