EMBLEM OF THE HEART BY MARIA CASSIA AUSTERO

EMBLEM OF THE HEART
The heart that smiles on renegade,
As honey that suckle on the nectar
Sweet to forgive and forget
Gazing whets graciousness.A heart of flesh, not a heart of stone,
Enduring love that is not a gong
Ears that listen, hands that console
Red emblem of the heart at the wall...The heart that rejoices on others---
No hatred it bears on the hotbed
Not losing cool at fire and brimstone,
The soft spot of the heart, never alone.Tears shed on the poor and needy,
The lame that cries help and weary
The heart never tires of caressing,
Purple emblem of the heart...

I had enjoyed the poems of shelly,Byron,Wordsworth,Shakespear and so many. There was a gap after their time. Now our Poetesses/Poets
of New World online Publication
have taken the place of those famous poets of the past. What a wonderful Poem is this 'Emblem of The Heart" Congratulations Maria Cassia Austero
