SOME GOOD MANNERS
IN MONTREAL
1. Try to speak your best French (even if it is quite limited).
People appreciate your desire to communicate and mostly
switch over.
2. Bring a beautiful bunch of flowers or a bottle of good wine
when invited to parties. Unlike in other countries, they prefer
if you are late in these gatherings.
3. Don't address waiters as garcon (boy) but a simple please
is how it's done in these places.
4. Exchange two kisses (a peck on each cheek) as a greeting.
However, men combine handshake and pecks.
