THE FOGGY BAY: POEM BY CYNTHIA ABEGAIL

THE FOGGY BAY

One wintry day of June when waves are gushing
By the bay, lovely as a maiden of May blooming
Fog covers the coast so thick as in the Riverdale
The sky seems afar beyond the view of the gales!

Life at times could be marred with clouds and rain,
At times, it could be sunny as the summer to wane
It could be autumn as  brownish leaves fly in vain
Or drab as icy winter so cold, dark, dreary O'sane.

Life could be shadowy, so marred--hope bygone,
But rainbow shone in midst of sorrow and gloom
Hope revived, utter joy shone--no more doom
For darkness never overcome the light of days!
