THE LADY IN DARK BLUE GARB

SHORT STORY
BY
CYNTHIA ABEGAIL

This is just a simple story about a fascinating lady!
It was a breezy cool afternoon when Molly arrived in the faith
community. She is a fairly tanned lady with owl-like eyes that
seem to penetrate your soul. Friendly indeed that in a matter
of weeks, she knows everybody at every corner of this place.

She is relatively bright and bubbly; she walks as if there is always
a disaster at hand. It is so quick that if you are not healthy enough,
you will not be able to catch up with her. She is not an ordinary
person, with a master plan! But it will unveil at that time when she had
already fixed her unblemished profile in this vicinity.

Frankly speaking, I was also attracted to her ways to the point that
I supported her in all of the projects that she presents to the people.
Rarely that I could even imagine that this very person that I
really admire is the antithesis of my principles in life.

After three months of positive reinforcement, the true color ensues.
She enters all facets of the community that there is nothing that
happens in the scene minus the lady in dark blue garb.

There is nothing seriously wrong with her. It is only that she likes
everything! The other people in the crowd seems to shout, "Could
you please share." I overheard Eva, "She drives me crazy, she is
everywhere, could you find another one?"

The lady in the blue garb entered! Now, she is already in the reception.
There was Jill who was the the one originally ushering the visitors. The
lady in the blue garb gave Jill a leaflet to her disdain. Jill was annoyed
but kept her cool! She thought, "Is there any planet where this woman
may be transported?"

How weird sometimes things could be. At a later stage, she was modifying
now the liturgy. Could you imagine a drum to be played at Midnight
Mass? Joseph exclaimed, "What is this?" The drum was so loud that
many were distracted from the solemnity of the occassion. You may
ask why could she get away with all of this. She is with the advisory
council!

This woman is quite sensible but all could not understand what in the
world could go wrong next. On second thought, we will just understand
that, that is the way she is! But for goodness sake, do not place an
overhead projector infront of the offertory gifts at Easter! I have to
take my blood pressure tablets before I faint!

The woman in the blue garb fascinates me despite of the odds that she do.
She is a wonderful person that just have zeal for God. It is probable only
that she needs some guidance from the leaders. She is still my friend,
we both love the Lord dearly. I just pray only that she will be more
humble, to respect other's people dignity as children of God, to share
and not grab everything, to love sincerely and not to mess up the
liturgy! That's all. Oh! No... Here she goes again...

Moral of the story:
It is good to remember that we are not the manager of the universe.
Sharing with others is a great way to show our love for God and humanity.
