CYNTHIA ABEGAIL'S COLUMN : POEM: A SECRET

This is a love poem dedicated to our valued readers...Cynthia

A Secret

My heart never lies to you,
It beats jazz and blues anew
Like a mandolin hymn array
A secret that hides yesterday!

Face so ruddy and melon pink,
Overshadows the stars O' sink
Fingers nimble, cold and shaky
A secret that hides today!

Whispered "I love him dearly,"
Echoed "I miss him tenderly"
Shouted "I like him sincerely"
A secret that hides tomorrow!

Be quiet, don't kiss and tell,
Shy and laden as nightingale
Joy so elusive as scarlet hues
It's a secret by ebony mews!
