For look, he it is who forged the mountains, creates the wind, who reveals his mind to the humankind, changes the dawn into darkness and strides on the heights of the world. Amos 4:13
This is a "hymnal fragment" as alluded for liturgical purposes
in the olden times. The background of this passages points to
obstinacy and hardness of hearts of the people. God sent
punishment, but the people would not listen!
On the other hand, the focus is on the reminder of God's power
over everything, hence all life and creation. In the present
context of the world, which is a complex intermingling of unity
and disunity, let us ponder on God's sovereignty on everything
that happens now.
History repeats itself. But. there is no need to worry too much. What we have to think about, from my perspective is: Have we praised God enough? Have we worshiped God enough? Have we obeyed God enough? Seek ye the Kingdom of God and everything will be added unto us.
Let us stand by God's promises! Let us believe unconditionally! Let us march forward fearing nothing but Him alone, relying on nothing but God alone. Then we will see and there is a guarantee
that the leaves will be green again, that the flowers will be colourful again and our deserts will be running with water and oasis! Praise the Lord!
