ROMANS 8:17---Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

If we are God's children, we will receive blessings from God together with Christ.  But we must suffered as Christ suffered so that we will have glory as Christ has glory.     Romans 8:17

Who in the world did not suffer?  Everyone has his own share of suffering!  It may be quite paradoxical.,, but it is true.  To be a child of God does not mean that one will not experience hurts,
worries, illnesses and the like.

On the other hand, the mark of the Cross, the mark of suffering is one of the indication that one is
a child of God, not the other way around.  Why is this so?  Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.  Our sufferings will not be in vain!  We are all in solidarity to save our brothers and sisters who stray and are lost.

Salvation is not for oneself alone!  We have to pitch in some suffering to help our lost brother's and sisters and also share in the suffering of Christ.

It is not easy, to be child of God is a privilege but with responsibilities!  Yes, we are our brother's keepers.  Let us not be stingy but generous in our share of sufferings for a good purpose---God's plan!
..In the same way as God has been generous with us all the days of our lives.
