Do
not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to
this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For,
"Whoever would love life and
see good days must keep his tongue from
evil and his lips from deceitful speech.
1 Peter 3:9-10
All
of us have the God given power to bless.
We can also be a blessing to someone.
Every time we bless someone, we touch them with the touch of the Divine. According to the scriptures, Jesus did not
bless often, rather He became a blessing over and over again
Today,
let us think of all the people who have been a blessing to us and let us in
turn believe that we have the power to be a blessing even to that angry person,
or irritating one, or to the one we continually ignore.
(Thanks Jane for this wonderful reflection about blessing and to keep one's tongue from evil.
and deceitful speech. Excellent). New World
