When the soldiers had finished crucifying Jesus, they took his clothing and divided it into four shares, one for each soldiers. His undergarments was seamless, woven in one piece from neck to hem, so they said to one another, "Instead of tearing it, let's throw dice to decide who is to have it. In this way, the word of scripture were fulfilled: They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothes. This is what the soldiers did. Jn 19:23-24
Jesus had suffered so much for our sins. God so loved the world that He sent His beloved Son into the world so that all of us will be saved.
God is the Lord of history. As our Creator, everything is in God's plan. In His great love and mercy,
Jesus, His beloved Son has suffered all the humiliation and suffering on the course of the Passion.
What more great love could we visualise and reflect on? Just like on the verge of the Red Sea, are we going to be the faithful Israelites who obeyed the Lord or the ungrateful ones who dejected God's deliverance from Egypt.
Daily, the choice is given. Free will has been a gift! We have to choose, the vanity of the world or the bliss of salvation!
