PSALM 140: 1-3: Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

"Deliver me, O Lord from evildoers, protect me from those who are violent, who plan evil things in their minds and stirs up wars continually.  They make their tongue sharp as a snake's, and under their lips is the venom of vipers." (Ps 140:3)

Deliverance is only from the Lord, as long as you believe in Him and do not seek assistance from something else.  Our loyalty should be only for our God who rains on the good and wicked as well.  It
is an enigma, but all are children of God, in the first place.  Afterwards, sin came into the world through Adam and Eve.

As in the Psalm, we can pray to the Lord to deliver as from evil, sin and temptation.  We can pray, too when the coffers are empty, when life become so dry and dreary.  We must pray daily upon waking up and before sleeping at night.  Prayers become a Bastille for the arrows of the enemy.  Our God is an awesome God!

Let us pray today to give us the grace of prayer, that we maybe down on our knees before our Great God, that He may provide for all of our needs and save us all the time!  Mother Mary, St Joseph, St Michael the Archangel, all of the Angels and saints, pray for us.  All, in Jesus Name.  Amen.
