Galatians 3:25-28 Reflection by Cynthia Abegail"

"But now that faith has come, you are no longer under a disciplinarian.  For through faith, you are all children of God in Christ Jesus.  For all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if you belong to Christ, you are Abraham's descendant according to the promise.  (Gal 3: 25-28).

As St Paul argued, before we are under a disciplinarian of the law which binds us.  As we are like infants or children under a mentor, a shift was available in Christ Jesus.  The covenant is still in place as we still are descendants of Abraham through the promise.  On the other hand, in Christ Jesus, we are free of any discrimination which the previous law could impose.  We are now not only free as heirs to the kingdom but also one in Christ Jesus.  If we are clothed in Christ, we breathe in Christ, we are owned by Christ.  As such, there are no more slaves under the law but we are free as children of God.  Free from disunity, free from distinction as long as we are baptised in Christ Jesus.

In so doing, as St. Paul reiterates, "I am not the one who lives, but Christ who lives in me."  There is a saying, "clothes maketh a man."  If we are clothed in Christ, what is better clothes can we have?  Choose the right garment!  Be smart and wise!  Life is short, we have to prepare early to  be ready when we meet our Creator!

Rely and abide in Christ.  Be baptised in Christ, there is no other way to be free from slavery from sin.  Spread the good news...the kingdom of God is at hand.m

Let us pray today that our brothers and sisters be enlightened to be baptised in Christ and they may realise that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  That we may be open to trials and tribulations and know that this purification may help in the salvation of sinners.  That our eyes may open to the wonderful gift of life offered by the Heavenly Father to those who accept Christ, His Only Begotten Son as our Saviou.  We pray today for the conversion of many unbelievers.  Through the powerful intercession of Mother Mary, St Joseph, St Michael the Archangel, all of the Angels and Saints.  In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen
