"Have mercy on me God, in your goodness, in your abundant compassion, blot out my offense. Wash away all my guilt, from my sin, cleanse me. (Ps 51: 3-4).
God is the only hope for our lives. With all the chaos, violence, enmity in the world, it seems darkness almost overcome us. On the other hand, we must not lose even a glimmer of hope. Jesus has assured us that we be not afraid.
Why will be afraid when our Lord is already saying to us, "Be not afraid, I have conquered the world." It is the truth and we just abide with the truth.
It takes so much courage to view the world with optimism. The gift of wisdom is given to those who seek God with sincerity and zeal. One may ask, "But, I do not understand!" To understand all divine things, we have to read the Holy Scriptures, attend Mass and praise God in His Church and most of all pray daily. That's not difficult! If we have time to stroll in the park, to post things in our social websites, we must have time for the Lord!
Take time to ask forgiveness from God. Sin is the one that separates us from our beloved God. If David who had a liaison with Bathsheba was forgiven, then anyone could be forgiven (from Holy Bible). as long as we repent of our sins with humility. All of us err, all of us fall short of the glory of God. No one can boast! We are all in the same boat, yet God in His awesome mercy and love invites all of us to repent and live in the power of the Holy Spirit. I am speaking not by my own opinion but from my reading of Holy Scripture and experience with the Tradition of the Church and service to God for about 20 years. Without God in my life, I can write nothing.
Remember that without God, we can do nothing. We will labour in vain. "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul?"
In Jesus Name. Amen
