“Sing aloud, O daughter Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter Jerusalem!......The Lord your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in His love;” Zep 3:14 & 17
The Lord our God is in our midst! Let us sing! Let us be happy! Let us not worry! Let us continue to celebrate for He is with us.
Let us put our burdens down, He is with us! Let us not give into discouragement and depression, even though we are feeling weighed down, for He is with us. God is WITH each of us! He is rejoicing over us, let us rejoice too. Let us rejoice and remember that our God is with us today and always.
"See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the Lord Almighty. Mal 3:1
The scriptures say God is in our midst, and that He will come because we desire Him to come. Let us rejoice! We may think He is not with us, but He is! We may think He is not aware of our prayers and our desire that He come and take over our burden, but He is! He will come into the temple (we are a temple) when the time is right for Him to come. Our hope lies in the sure fact that HE WILL COME. So, we continue to pray, do charity and serve Him, and keep the flame of our hope alive – He will come!
“Therefore, do not worry, saying ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or “what will we wear?’ For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” Matthew 6:31-33
Today, we are going to DECIDE not to worry. Our worries and anxieties do not go, just because we have begun to pray. They fade away when we decide every moment of the day, not to be controlled by them. As we reflect on God’s Word today, let us ask Him to increase our faith and trust in Him. Jesus is our only solution to every worry and anxiety.
Your word O Lord is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. Ps 119:105
