THE DIVINE RAYS: REFLECTION FORWARDED BY CYNTHIA ABEGAIL

RED AND BLUE DIVINE RAYS
Once a Polish painter was inspired to paint
the Divine Mercy image. My eyes were drawn
to the red and blue rays emanating from the
Heart of the Beloved Lord.
The Lord's gown was yellowish gold; the Hands
outstretched implied authority over all things,
and creatures visible and invisible. At the same
time, the hand on the Heart implied compassion
and gentleness.
As I gazed at the sash, I recalled the the coming of
"The Alpha and the Omega" which means the
Beginning and the End. Recalling a verse in the
Book of Revelation of the Holy Bible, John saw
the Lord with a golden sash which was the same
as the sash in the Divine Mercy image.
The image gave me an impression that the Lord is
welcoming to both the saints and sinners. The one
who sinned just need to repent of one's sins. The
Lord has an outstretched arm to welcome all in
his kingdom.
The eyes of the Lord in the picture evokes a sense of
"Come to me you who are burdened and I will give
you rest." It evokes an eternal love that is beyond
human's understanding!

But I was drwn again to the red and blue rays emanating
from the Heart of the Lord. "O Blood and Water that gush
forth from the Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us."
The precious blood cleanses the world and the water refers to
the water of baptism, a privilege to be called a child of God!

Blood conquers all, victory over sin and death. "O Jesus,
envelop us with your precious blood from the top of our heads
to the soles of our feet."

How inviting the picture! "Jesus remember us when we come into
Kingdom." Jesus, I trust in you.
