A GENTLE BREEZE/ POEM:/CYNTHIA ABEGAIL'S COLUMN

A GENTLE BREEZE
(POEM)

How comforting!
As you came one autumn day
Leaves, all hues fell on the ground
Not streaks of fire but gentle breeze...

How consoling!
As you came a day of spring
Flowers bustle from buds of summer
Not hot and fiery but a soft wind...

How inspiring!
As you came an hour of summer
Sun blazing as my face lit and shine
Not scorching but a cold wind...

Come Holy Spirit, come!
With gifts beyond compare a' beauty!
Thou art welcome in my dreary heart-----
Come fill me up with love!

* A poem dedicated to God as we approach the Feast of Pentecost...
