REFLECTIONS BY JANE PIMENTA
Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, Lord," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors." 1 Kings 19:3-4 (-9)
"I have had enough, Lord," How often that has been our cry! We often want to run away feeling weak and frustrated trying to do the will of God, but God never leaves us alone – He sends loving people to strengthen us and bring us back to walk with Him (for our Christian journey). (read till vs 9) Life is difficult, but we never face it alone, our loving God is always with us, encouraging, motivating, strengthening, let us turn our eyes to HIM, and take them away from our situation.
(Thanks Jane for the great insight on not losing focus on the Lord). New World
