Acts 10:46-48. Baptism of the First Gentiles
"While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit came down on all listeners, Jewish believers, who had accompanied Peter were all astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit should be poured on all gentiles too since they could hear them speaking strange languages and proclaiming the greatness of God. Peter himself then said, "Could anyone refuse the water of baptism to these people, now they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have. He then gave orders for them to be baptised in the Name of Jesus Christ. Afterwards, they begged him to stay on for some days." (Acts 10:44-48).
It was very clear that salvation is not only for the righteous but for the gentiles as well. How generous and awesome our God is! The Holy Spirit is for all, for those who yearn for it, for believers and gentiles. Corollary to this situation, recall the words of the Lord, "I have come not for the righteous but for the sinners." In the same way, let us be generous with our time for the salvation of sinners, pray, pray and pray! How do we know, we maybe the one needing salvation? For all fall short of the glory of God! Amen
