AIKO'S DIARY(NEXT SERIES) Part 5 by Cynthia Abegail

Aiko has tantrums

Now, I realised that Aiko's separation from me has consequences.  When I visited her, she run all over the place and would not even look at me.

I was astounded by the drastic change.  My cat who was a sweet, gentle cat has turned into a temperamental cat.  Tears almost flow from my eyes but I have to face this utter reality.

Instead of my planned 7 weeks before our reunion, I have reduced it to 5 weeks.  One day is critical, so I was rushing the awaited transition.

I whisphered to her ear, "Please be patient, " but to no avail and she pouted all the more.  I said, "Alright, I am guilty, so I brought you your favourite shrimp and calamari broth."  She run to the container as she smells the fascinating and expensive food.  Then, I smiled, "Alas, I got your weakness."

I sat on her bed and pondered on her future.  How I wish, she will return to good health.  My situation is not that rosy at the moment, juggling all my roles as a mother, as a wife, as a faithful worker for the Lord, as a missionary and as a pet attendant.  I whisphered, "Never mind, God will make a way."

With great faith in my heart, I know that things will get better.  I never doubt God's timing.  All will be well for me, my family and for Aiko.  Yes, dear folks, one may wonder why I am so concerned about Aiko.  Well, we were given pets and we are meant to love them.  For animals are God's creatures, too!
