And the Lord said to Moses, "I have heard the murmurings of the people of Israel: say to them, 'At twilight you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread; then you shall know that I am the Lord your God." Exod 16:12
There are many times that we are not satisfied with what we already have. We murmur and express dissatisfaction with our lot. As human as we are, we are proned to this outburst.
On the other hand, we must also realise that God is the Provider. He provides us with all the basic necessities of life. The other things that we need are just icing on the cake. Let us pray for what is truly important, not the material things but the true riches pleasing to God.
Let us be poor in spirit, the ones who beg the Lord for our needs; be truly dependent on Him, the Greatest, His Majesty, the true goal of our life which is a gift. Treasure your life, treasure this gift for this is only lent to us and one day, we will leave this physical life and with great hope will be with our Heavenly Father in the Name of His Son Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. God our Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, all in One, have mercy on us. Amen
