HAVE YOU NOT KNOWN? REFLECTION BY CYNTHIA ABEGAIL

Have you not known?  Have you not heard?  Has it not been told to
you from the beginning?  Have you not understood from the beginning of the
earth?  It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are
like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads
them like a tent to live in; who brings princes to naught, and makes the rulers
of the earth as nothing.

                                                                                            Isaiah 40: 21-23

*  Throughout history, man has to be continually reminded about who God
is.  There are moments of forgetfulness especially if we are immersed in
material things of the world and sometimes with the works of the flesh.

God is Almighty!  It is supposed to be a basic knowledge.  If we have read the
book of Genesis in the Holy Bible,  "In the beginning when God created the
heavens and the earth, darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind
from God swept over the waters.  Then God said, 'Let there be light,' and there
was light."Gen. 1: 1-3  Awesome power!  There was no tinge of light before, just darkness.
And who created light?  God Almighty!  The starting point of Genesis says it all.

God is the ruler of everything.  The rulers on earth were allowed by God on
a leased time of rule.  He determines the course of history, the rise and fall of kings,
princes, presidents, prime ministers and all other rulers!  He makes one shine and makes
one fall like a star that shoots downwards.

Yes, God Almighty, the awesome God!  The God we know and the God we worship!
The God we can depend on.  We live on His time, we live on His love, we live
at the time he set.  Then we will return to Him, but He gave us a choice.  Why not
choose the One who got you here on earth in the first place?

Hail the King of kings!  Hail the Lord of lords!  Hail God Almighty!
