"I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be safe: such a one will go in and out
and will find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that
they may have life and have it to the full."
Jn 10: 9-10
Lord Jesus is the gate by which anyone who wills to obey and worship God could be given grace
to have life ---an everlasting life. Jesus is the Way, we do not have to search too far for the Lord
is in our midst. If we profess faith in Jesus, we could enter the gate, be with Him and He will
be with us.
That is the very opposite of the thief---who does steal the life that God has promised. For it is
the will of the person to be respected. If one wills to be good, so be it! If one wills to be bad,
It's a free will but there are consequences. For example, it's one's free will to speed on the streets
but he has to cop the consequence, he will get a fine. One may go beyond red lights, with his
will but he has to receive the consequence, a fine or even imprisonment esp if he collides with
vehicles or hit a person.
In life, it happens! One may steal but he will go to prison. In afterlife, it also happens! If we
do not worship our Almighty God, attest allegiance to Him all our life or break all of
his commandments, we will also cop the consequence not only now but after we die.
If we like to have life to the full here and thereafter, let us put our unconditional faith in
Jesus because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, a path to Almighty Father, our God!
