"Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:40-42

Martha had a crazy schedule – she is overworked and so grumbling and pointing a finger comes easily to her. Why does Martha work so much? Why do any of us have such crazy schedules? Are we avoiding some issue in our life? Let us take the time to search ourselves.

The Lord cares deeply about the quality of our life, He wants us to be in relationship with Him, and so He says to Martha “Only one thing is needed….” When we are in a loving ,trusting relationship with Jesus, all things fall into place, and even if we still have to walk in a dark valley, we walk in peace and assurance that He is with us.
