BEAM OF LIGHT: Poem by Cynthia Abegail
The meadow was full of wild grasses as I ponder,
Life could be a maze, a puzzle, a memory to share
A season of joy, a day of sorrow, a second of mirth
Confused at times, bewildered by the test of dearth!
I smiled at you, I laughed with you, we held hands,
Our dreams were one, our hopes were braided
But now you're gone, the cords broken in bands,
My heart fainted, my pulse weakened and eluded!
In my dreams, I felt your presence with light,
A beam, not a streak giving life and height
Wishing you will come back, never to depart,
A beam of light is all I need as I embark...
