“Therefore, do not worry, saying ‘What will
we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or “what will we wear?’ For it is the
Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows
that you need all these things. But
strive first for the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
will be given to you as well” Matthew
6:31-33
Today, we
are going to DECIDE not to worry. Our
worries and anxieties do not go, just because we have begun to pray. They fade away when we decide every moment of the day, not to be controlled by them. As we reflect on God’s Word today, let us ask
Him to increase our faith and trust in Him.
Jesus is our only solution to every worry and anxiety.
(Thanks to Jane Pimenta for this wonderful reflection about surrender to God at all times and seeking of His Kingdom at all times. Excellent).

Rather than the anxious pursuit of the "better" things in life (like working hard to get the "best" and most food, drink, and clothing), Jesus told his disciples to pray for daily bread (Mt. 6:11,25-34). Moreover, it was to be "our" daily bread (not just "my" bread), which means rather than accumulating prized possessions for ourselves, we are sharing simple things like bread with those in need.
