“Make disciples of all nations:” Reflection by Prayer Aid (Jane Pimenta)

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus is commissioning His 12 to teach, baptise and make disciples …. It’s a difficult ministry He is giving them, they will face hardships, persecution and be put to death because this ministry.   The 12 realised that what is given to them by the Lord, will finally be worked out through them by the Lord, because He is going to be with them.   Is there something the Lord is asking of us?  To do something?  To give up something?  To reach out, to forgive?  If He is asking it of us, He will be with us while we experience difficulty to obey.   Let us not look at what we do not have, rather let us keep our focus on the fact that He is with us to the very end and obey Him
