“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.  (Jn 14:27) 

Then we ask, “ Why is there still no peace in this world?  Jesus is the One who gives real peace.  On the other hand, God gives man a choice.  If we abide in the Lord, there is peace.  If we do not, then it’s our choice.

We have to recognise the truth that there is a spiritual battle in our midst.  Hence, when there is a battle, there are adversaries. One likes peace in his daily life.  The adversary does not like you to have peace!  What do we do now?

One does not go to a battle unprepared!  God has provided us a Spiritual Armour.  It was very clear in Ephesians 6.  1.  “Fasten the belt of Truth around your waist and put on the breastplate of righteousness.  We must avoid lies and it’s good to pursue integrity and righteousness, we may fail sometimes!  2.  Proclaim the gospel of peace so avoid gossiping and quarrelling.  3.  Take the shield of faith; no matter what happens, cling to the Lord.  4.  Take the helmet of salvation; we are saved by the blood of Jesus shed on the Cross; recite the Precious Blood of Jesus prayer daily.  5.  Take the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God!  Read the Bible as much as you can.

We are not battling on the earthly realm; we are battling against the cosmic powers of darkness.  We can’t do it alone; we will be defeated!  Clothe yourself with the power of the Holy Spirit.  Only then can we be victorious.  We need God!!! Definitely!  Otherwise, we will be like rag dolls thrown on the air played upon by the enemies.  Be confident, if God is for us, who can be against us?  Praise the Lord!  Alleluia.
