What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all – how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
……But we do not have all things….When we feel a lack of anything, it is because we are not connecting with God at a deep level. From the surrender prayer I copy : He gives abundant life, to those who trust Him by refusing to worry about anything. It is not the times of adversity that make us anxious, but our THOUGHTS about these events. Our minds engage in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result we desire! Our thoughts close in on our problem determined to make things go our way. We forget God is in-charge. The only remedy is to switch our thoughts and allow God to control, begin to live in His Presence, stop all controlling and stand back and see what He will do.
I liked this line of thinking so much, I had to share it with you –
(What a good way of thinking! If we just surrender fully to the Lord at all times, we could not have all those anxiety. Excellent!). Cynthia Abegail for New World
