So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Is 41:10
“Do not fear for I am with you” Jesus wants us to find comfort in these words, Yet things we fear can happen to us, situations we fear can come upon us, and our imagination will run wild. We try to rationalise things but cannot! If you have felt like this, I offer to you the one short “power pause” that works for me. For 1 minute clear your mind of all negative thoughts….. let your mind be blank. For the next minute fill your mind with positive thoughts about the situation you are afraid of….. For the third minute praise and worship God. Do this many times during the day. With this exercise I have learnt not to give into fear but to fill my mind with thoughts of blessings. I pray the same will happen to you. (Thanks Jane Pimenta for this beautiful reflection about God’s presence at all times, so we should not fear nor be sad. Excellent). Cynthia Abegail forvNew World.
