Remember Lot’s wife. Luke 17:32
We are familiar with the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Before God destroyed these cities, Abraham had pleaded with Him on the people’s behalf but it was clear that there was not even one good person in the city. However, our God of mercy agreed to save Lot and his family but He gave strict instructions that they should not look back…But lot’s wife could not resist and she looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Looking back can freeze us into misery, sorrow, depression and more serious disorders. God is stretching out His hand to us, calling us, “Come out of that…..” let us not stay pegged to the past – instead let us do our best to throw off the burden that is pulling us down and take God’s band and be safe. (A very coherent and excellent reflection. Past is past and let’s move on with God’s hand). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
