Matt 8:20-20 “The Son of Man has no place to lay his head”

Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go."   Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."           Matt 8:10-20

Like all of us, the man wanted to follow Jesus,   What Jesus said to the Teacher, is relevant for us today too.  “Foxes have holes……..head.”   Jesus was pointing out the uncertainty of following Him.   Everyone goes ‘home’ eventually, but He never knows where ‘home’ is till the Father shows Him.  Living by faith is a daily battle, and each of us is confronted with that battle daily, to trust or stay in control?  That is the issue.   I struggle in this area many times, but once I let go, only then have I witnessed that the Lord comes through, and in a much better way than I was trying to work out….(praise the Lord)   Decide to follow Jesus today, no matter how uncertain things look.   (Beautiful Reflection.  I love the word uncertainty because one’s faith could be tested on this uncertainty.  Mary, in the raising of Lazarus said, “If you have been here earlier, he could not have died.  She was uncertain that Lord Jesus will raise up his Lazarus!  It’s a struggle but we just have to trust God unconditionally.  Thanks Jane).  Cynthia Abegail/New World
