AWAKE FROM YOUR SLUMBER
The gates are open, angels are singing
The pearly clouds always O' beaming,
A soul have entered and then rejoicing
Heavens welcome the lost regained!
Awake now, for there is little nil time,
Throw out your idols without a rhyme
Scorn at vices and smile with all shine
For the days, not know the quite time!
Awake from your slumber, the Lord
Speaks to you in parables, metaphors
When will your eyes open and ears ---
To listen to the Word with tenderness!
Awake from your slumber, the God
Who loves you is waiting for your
Embrace so warm and hugs, sweet
As the honey that drips from bees!
Awake from your slumber, or else
Netherland is ready to swallow ---
Awake from your slumber, never
To regret the lost times, He forgives!
