“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said “Peace be with you” John 20:26
There is nothing that the Lord does not know about His children, He knew how anxious His disciples were, so the very first thing He gave them was His peace! Peace is what each of us are looking for, yet whatever we do it often seems to miss us.
I think the best way to be at peace is to live in the Presence of the Lord. He promises us, “I am with you always” no matter what we are doing, whom we are speaking to, where we are going….He is with us, let us be aware of His Presence with us, and we will find that fear and anxiety gradually get less and His Peace flows.
