Love one another: (Jn 4: 7-10). Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.  God’s love was revealed among us in this way:  God sent His Son into the world so that we might live through Him.  (1 Jn 4:7-10).

When hate lurks in our hearts, we can’t truly say that we love God.  Love is shown to our brothers and sisters when we are kind to them, when we are not rude!  It is also evident when we are compassionate and help them when they are in need.

Anger is normal.  What is not good is prolonged anger, when we  harbour grudge to others.  Whatever they have done, it is good to forget and start anew again!  We all make mistakes.  Let us give allowance when someone hurts us.  On the other hand, we must not tolerate evil in all its forms.  Reject evil, but be gentle with your brethren.  For all sin, no one is perfect.
