Never say never! Short Story by Cynthia Abegail

It was a bright sunny day and for some reason Jessica invited Paul.  He was so close to God so she confided her problems to him about her family.  Paul is cool, calm, collected and confident.  His trademark is hope for the future.

Jessica looked at him and told herself, “I think I will not fall for him.  Although I am not that pretty, he is not really my type of guy.”  She prefers masculine, a bit rugged and modern man.

On the other hand, Paul wooed her for less than a year and she gets quite irritated.  She gushed, “What has this man seen in me?  Never would I like him.  He is not for me, oh sorry!

After about a year, they saw again more often.  Then, suddenly Jessica felt a rush of blood upon seeing Paul.  She seems excited but bewildered!  She thought, “What is this?  Am I falling in love with him?

It reversed now!  Paul seems to have lost interest in her.  Jessica seems to shout:  “Why o why?  You liked me before, have you seen someone?”

Then, Jessica burst into tears!  She cried over a man, Paul.  But maybe it’s too late now.  She took Paul for granted for almost a year.  Now, she realised she is falling in love with him.  She pouted and said, “Never say never.”  I love him now, but it maybe too late.  Ah, never mind, I will revive it!  I promise, please do not abandon me, I will change.  I will never say, Never!
