There are many times that we are turned off by confident people and we erroneously label them proud. Pride is pretending to be someone one is really not. For example, if a person has an IQ of 90 and brags that he has an IQ of 150. A proud person does not accept who he is.
It is not easy to be humble because there is something in our concupiscence that predispose us to this attitude. Anyway, we could pray and ask God to help us to be humble.
Confidence is not bad especially if that centres on confidence on God's assistance, confidence on your goals, confidence on your future. Life is too short to be proud. Remain humble and God will elevate you.
