DIVINATION AND MAGIC PROHIBITED
"No one should be found among you who makes a son
or daughter pass through fire, or who practices divination,
or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or one who
casts spells, or who consults ghosts or spirits or who seek
oracles from the dead. For whoever does these things is
abhorrent to the Lord; it is because of such practices that
the Lord, your God is driving them out before you. You
must remain loyal to the Lord your God. Deut 18:10-13
*As children of God, we are encouraged to be obedient to His
commandments. If we truly profess that we love God and
abide in Him, the practices of divination, magic, tarot, psychic
messaging, horoscopes, fortune telling, conjuring of the dead
should not be found among us. It is prohibited by the Lord!
If we have done it inadvertently or innocently before, the Lord
will forgive us if we approach Him with contrite sorrow and
humbly ask for forgiveness. For God's mercy is beyond
understanding, it is boundless as the ocean and His faithfulness
remains to those who love and seek Him.
Let us remind ourselves to "love
God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your might."
