Cultured in the Lord: Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

It is absolutely fascinating to meet cultured and civilised people.             When they speak, it seems that honey is emanating from their mouths!  So mesmerising behaviour!  One seems to be comfortable talking with them.  There are no dramas, no rudeness and no airs at all.  They say this behaviour could be learned.  Well said and true.

Upon more observation, these nice and kind people come from all walks of life and from all backgrounds.  But what is really striking is that most of these people are highly cultured in the Lord.  They are not judgmental but on the other hand have overflowing love for God and his people.

Just to share, when I was studying Microbiology in the University, we cultured some bacteria.  I noticed that these bacteria proliferate in a good environment of right temperature  and moisture.

I remembered being cultured in the Lord.  One has to be in a tempered environment of His Word and Tradition.  Thereby the person develops into a cultured person of good predisposition and nice demeanour.  Of course, this will depend upon the views of people and we respect all opinions as all have rights to their own thinking.  Praise be to God!
