A GREAT MOTHER
I was born as a son of a poor family. While my mother was removing
her rice into my bowl, she would say, "Eat this rice, I am not hungry.
Then, my mother worked on used matchboxes to cover our needs. She
patiently worked by a little candle light. I asked her to sleep, but she
smiled and said, "Go to sleep dear, I am not tired."
My mother accompanied me to my final exam. She prepared a cold
glass of tea, especially for me. As I went out, I saw her perspiration
for it is a sunny day. I gave her that glass of drink. Mother said, "Drink
son, I am not thirsty."
After a few years, I took a Master's course as a scholar in America. Later,
I was taken as an employee by the same firm that sponsored my studies.
I went home and told her to come with me. She said, "Son, I am not used to."
Then, Mother got sick. I rushed back home to our place; she was weak and
thin. I cried, but she said, " Don't cry, my dear, I am not in pain."
Then she closed her eyes.
Love them as if there's no tomorrow...
